How to Measure Your Bra Size Correctly

📏 Step-by-Step Measuring Guide

Step 1: Measure Your Band Size (Underbust)
Using a soft measuring tape, measure snugly around your ribcage, directly under your bust. Keep the tape level and firm but not tight. Round to the nearest whole number. If the number is even, add 0 inches; if odd, add 1 inch to get your band size.

Example: Underbust = 32 inches → Band Size = 32
Underbust = 33 inches → Band Size = 34

Step 2: Measure Your Bust Size
Measure loosely around the fullest part of your bust, keeping the tape level around your back. Round to the nearest whole number.

Step 3: Calculate Cup Size
Cup size = Bust measurement - Band size
• 0 inches = AA cup
• 1 inch = A cup
• 2 inches = B cup
• 3 inches = C cup
• 4 inches = D cup
• 5 inches = DD/E cup
• 6 inches = DDD/F cup
• 7 inches = G cup
• 8 inches = H cup
• 9 inches = I cup
• 10 inches = J cup

Signs You're Wearing the Wrong Bra Size

❌ Common Fit Issues:
• The band rides up in the back → Band is too large
• Straps dig into shoulders → Band too loose, straps overcompensating
• Breasts spill over the cups → Cups are too small
• Gaps or wrinkles in cups → Cups are too large
• Center gore doesn't lie flat → Cups are too small
• Breasts fall out when leaning → Cups too small or band too loose

✅ How Often Should You Measure?
Your bra size can change due to weight fluctuations, pregnancy, hormonal changes, aging, and exercise. It's recommended to measure every 6-12 months. Approximately 80% of women wear the wrong bra size!

👯 Sister Sizes Explained
Sister sizes are alternate sizes with the same cup volume. If your band is too tight, go up a band size and down a cup letter. If your band is too loose, go down a band size and up a cup letter.
Example: 34C → Sister sizes: 32D (smaller band) or 36B (larger band)

📏 Tips for Accurate Measuring:
• Wear a non-padded, non-push-up bra or no bra at all
• Use a soft, flexible measuring tape (not metal)
• Ensure the tape is level all around your body
• Take measurements in front of a mirror
• Don't pull the tape too tight or leave it too loose
• Measure at least twice to ensure accuracy
